5 Clever Tension Tamers You NEED To Know

Stress from work is inevitable, we all need to work to earn a living for ourselves and eventually our families. But that doesn’t mean we should let stress beat us. So here are 5 great tips to help keep you cool.

1. Have a break.

Unless your boss has physically chained you to the desk, you should be able to take a quick stroll to a nearby café. The change of atmosphere will help clear and refresh your mind.

2. Talk

If you feel like beating your co-worker with the nearest sharp object, simply speak to a close friend on a one-to-one basis and talk about your issue. This will help you calm down and prevent you from having to deal with those pesky murder charges.

3. Stretch.

Let’s be honest, exercise is boring. But a few minutes of stretching can really help you feel better. Exercise can do wonders to one’s spirits. It doesn’t have to be rigorous. A few minutes of stretching and breathing does the trick.

4. Eat & drink.

Did you know that stress eating is the number one cause of weight gain? personally I thought cake eating was the problem. However, did you know that nutritious foods help calm you down and give you energy for the rest of the day?

5. Laugh!

Humor is an effective way to relieve stress. Laughter relaxes tense muscles, brings in more oxygen into our system, and lowers blood pressure.
