As a young entrepreneur there will be many people who will expect you to be able to maintain high energy levels at all time. The reality however is that this is not possible.
There is however one technique that you can use to avoid burnout, avoid stress and achieve better mental balance.
This technique can be described in just one word: Equilibrium
Equilibrium is essentially the art of creating an equal balance. If you use this in your life it can solve a lot of problems.
The first key is to not do too much of anything - have you ever been really hungry and ordered waaay too much food? It may seem great at the time, but by the time you have eaten your third pizza, you will be feeling sick, and will not want to eat pizza ever again.
Some people always do things in large chunks, this destroys your equilibrium and can cause a lot of stress and mental imbalance.
Have you ever heard the phrase: “Too much of a good thing”?
You really need to break things down into smaller chunks, think of all your activities and imagine that they are glasses of red wine. Drinking one or two glasses is great, but if you have 9 or 10 you will be sick and feel awful.
I am a strong believer that equilibrium keeps life fun, entertaining and energetic…. now all I need to do is put in into practice more often.

This is decent advice but the problem is that it’s too abstract. It’s something that everybody knows, but most people don’t apply, for one reason or another. It would be better if you provide concrete examples, especially geared towards young entrepreneurs. Most of us don’t have time for alcohol and other drugs as we are just starting out, and reducing stress is HIGH on our todo list, but I don’t know any young entrepreneur who can manage stress successfully. This eventually leads to most people giving up to the pressure and just getting a day job.
