What Happens When Marketing Goes BAD

I am a strong believer that you have to push the boundaries with your marketing campaign. This is true today more than ever before.

But this also increases the chances that your marketing campaign could be a PR disaster.

Today I am going to share with you one of my all time favourite marketing FxxK ups.

Remember kids… don’t try this at home!

McDonalds – “I’d Hit it”

This stunt from 2005 shows what happens when you hire a team of 50 year olds to create a young and hip message. McDonalds later had to pull the campaign saying “their marketing department misunderstood the term.”

Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase “She has nice buns”

    Call my therapist. I feel violated. You Dean Hunt the man who delivers more than he gets paid for just shorted me 2 FxxK ups.

    Can I ever trust anyone again? Will I be able to find true happiness? Can a meek mild shoe shine boy really become a super hero? ( I’ll be surprised at those who get that reference)
